During Fashion Week, Paris runs on a different schedule. The fashion shows end when the kitchens close, and at 11:00 p.m. you find yourself looking for a place that’s still open.
This is a challenge the neighborhood knows all too well.
Continuous service: What That Means in Practice
La Brasserie des Arts is open continuously from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. On Saturdays, it’s open until 5:00 a.m. On Sundays, it’s open until midnight.
This means there is no last seating. A dinner that starts at 11:00 p.m. is just like any other dinner—not a special favor wrested from the kitchen.
At 11:00 p.m., the table is set just as it is at 8:00 p.m.
A pedestrian street, five minutes from the Odéon
There’s no traffic on Saint-André-des-Arts Street. We sit out on the terrace without any background noise, and we can hear each other talk—which isn’t all that common at this time of day.
The Odéon, Saint-Michel, and Cluny-La Sorbonne are a five-minute walk away.
The Setting
The restaurant has retained its Art Nouveau decor: the logo, the sign, the mural, and these chairs, whose backs form a heart shape. Many customers take pictures of them without realizing they’re period pieces.
What People Who Are Late Order
The two dishes our customers mention most often in their reviews: onion soup au gratin and our house-made cordon bleu.
In the basement, Goldie is available for private events until 5:00 a.m.
And if the party goes on...
On Thursdays, the Live Soul Dinner: dinner with live music starting at 7:00 p.m., featuring a live singer and her musician.
Goldie is open for private events only: it is reserved for groups, with a minimum spending requirement.
